Conference Updates

Call for Proposals, Opening Keynote Announced

A reminder that the call for proposals is now open. The deadline to submit is October 17, 2022. Authors are invited to submit abstracts and other proposals focused on research and research-based practice encompassing all aspects of injury and violence prevention.  During this meeting we will highlight the many ways that scientists and practitioners advance injury and violence prevention research using findings from the lab, clinic, and community. We welcome your submissions on these and other important topics in injury and violence prevention!

Types of submissions available:

Short courses

3.5 hours; morning before conf starts

Technical workshops

90 min; provides in-depth technical information

Individual Scientific Abstracts

Oral presentation or poster

Group Abstract Sessions

Groups of 4-5 researchers can propose a full session on a shared topic.

Anti-racism group session

Submission showcasing research methods or interventions that examine or address racial or other systemic disparities in injury and violence. Abstracts should be submitted through the regular submission system. Please indicate your interest in being considered for this session when you submit.

SAVIR values and encourages diversity and inclusion in its membership, and strives to address health inequities and racism in public health research.
